Say hello to our fourth Almighty Acorn, the sweet Aurora-Rosé!

“Hi everyone 💕

My names Aurora-Rosé and I want to tell you a bit about my story. I was due to be born on the 04th July 2020 however I decided I wanted to come early & was born on the 28th March 2020 weighing 1.11lbs 🥺. I had to stay in hospital for 3 months and its was the longest and scariest time of mine and my mummies life. Throughout my NICU stay I faced so many setbacks, I had to fight off Meningitis, Sepsis, Bleed on the brain, Hole in the heart. There was also times where I was close to going 1 step further but then had set backs with braddys and desats which was scary and heartbreaking, but although I went through all of that, I also overcome it all and became a strong little princess 👸🏾❤️.

I am now a stong 1 Year old with an attitude of a 25 year old - I don't suffer from any health issues, I'm strong, I'm a survivor. I'm my mummies miracle, strong little princess 😘 due to all this I'm also a very spoilt little princess.” - Aurora-Rosé’s momma

Our third Almighty Acorn is the beautiful Campbell.

“We were so excited to be welcoming our first child due May 1, 2008. At my 26 week appointment, my blood pressure was very elevated. I was sent home and told to monitor it and return if it went up again. It went back up the next day so I was admitted to the hospital for monitoring for pre-eclampsia. After 3 days it became obvious that I would deliver soon so I was transferred by ambulance to a hospital with a level IV NICU. I was given steroid shots and delivered Campbell a few days later on February 3rd due to severe pre-eclampsia and fetal distress. At 27 weeks, she weighed 2 lbs, 1 oz. She spent 66 days in the NICU. She had amazing care and although it was very scary, we were blessed by a caring and thorough NICU staff. She came home at 4 lbs, 11 oz and almost immediately began being followed by early intervention. She is a graduate of speech, occupational, and physical therapies who now is in the Gifted and Talented program in her middle school and is a competitive swimmer on our high school’s swim team.” - Martha (Campbell’s mom)

Look how grown up sweet Campbell is! 💜

Let’s meet our second Almighty Acorn, Brielle.

“This is our angel baby. When I went in for my 28 week check up they said it looked like she wasn’t growing anymore. I was diagnosed with preeclampsia and hospitalized that Wednesday and was told I wouldn’t be going home until she was born. 10 days later, she was born via emergency c section. She was born at 30 weeks gestation. She weighed 2lb 5oz and was in the NICU for 54 days. When she came home, we had Dr visits once a week, and she has a total of 3 specialists + her primary. She is now 7 months old and weighs 14lb 4oz. She still has a lot to over come in life, but she’s thriving. 🤍” - Lex (Brielle’s mom)
